Fw: Web Site Wine Inquiry

E-Mail Inquiry: Hello, I would like to purchase Mas De Daumas Gassac Rouge (of course, after seeing Mondovino), but do not know if in the movie he is drinking from 2005 or 2003?
On some sites  I  even see 2001 as a possibility, could you clarify this for me? Thank you so much! best, Jennifer T.

Wow Jennifer, I have watched Mondovino countless times, but I have never paid any attention to the specific vintage Aime Guibert drinks in the documentary.....We visited the winery for a private tour and tasting in July of 2007.  I should have asked him when I met him.  I have no idea?!?!?  Since the movie was released in 2004, it is most likely the wine is from the 2001 vintage or before......the wine is aged for about 15 months before bottling.....and then it rests for a time as well.....so theoretically, it could be a 2002 I guess....or any vintage previous going as far back as 1978!.....

I REALLY am beginning to hate you....

I don't care how cheap and good it is, I only want 6 bottles.  Dang it.  You should sell crack, you could retire by now!

Thanks for ALWAYS thinking of me.

When we?re saving money, our food is sacrificed before our wine. One night a few weeks ago, I had cereal for dinner ? and a good Cabernet. Last night, I had a fried egg sandwich ? and a good Cabernet. Must keep priorities in line!
