I doubt he can produce a better wine!
February 07, 2007
Another little distraction
caught my attention last evening, that I must immediately tell you about before
plunging head first into our discovery wine trip to Argentina and
Chile.
I will make it brief, because those of you
familar with Patassy Pinot Noir, from the
Green Valley appellation outside of Santa Rosa in Sonoma, will need no
elaboration or nudging when I tell you the latest release of the limited
2005 vintage is a MUST PURCHASE.
Yes, the price has increased to a "whopping" $24.95 retail. You will
remember when I sold the 2002 for only $12.50 a bottle....in fairness,
it is was suppose to retail at $17.95. This is the price we all must
pay for success and the greater demand for recognized
quality/value. Production remains at about 600 cases. In the
2005 vintage, the price increase is warranted, and maybe more so, because
Frank Patassy has produced a riper, sexier and more lavish Pinot Noir.....
and at no sacrifice to the integrity of his vineyard's terroir, or balance
of the wine's structure. The aromatics are in a full bloom
gusto: deep, ripe red cherries basking on clouds of
vanillin, incensed with wood spices. In the mouth:
inviting, full and sumptuous, warm cherry pie filling, long and
persistent. The wine is complete. I doubt he can produce a better
wine!
Order quickly by simply responding to this
e-mail! My price to you is $22.50 a
bottle. Order 12 or more bottles and receive
an additional 10 percent discount to $20.25 a bottle. Your order will be confirmed by reply e-mail with invoice
attached.
