100 points? Mo' better?
June 15, 2007

I frown upon sending you more than one e-mail a week, but I think it is important for you to read two articles discussing the values of the 100 point rating system used for wine reviews.

And if you have not rented the Mondovino DVD yet? > http://www.netflix.com  What's your excuse?

"Are ratings pointless?  The highs -- and lows -- of the 100-point scale."

"Who's To Blame for Expensive Wine? The trouble with Robert Parker's point system."

On a lighter note -

Casual, fun, frothy, cold sparkling wines are on tap tomorrow at the tasting bar from Noon to 4 pm.....topped off with some ZIG ZAG ZIN ($14.95) from Mendocino!!  Hide your rolling papers, as more of the 05 "The Prisoner" ($31.95) just arrived!  For the full line-up just click on the link below.  Then for more specific details, simply click on any of the wines posted -

I guess my nagging Renee to contribute more of her recipes is paying off as she just posted another original one (that's two within a month) on her page at the webstore:  "Floral Polenta Cake".

Have a Happy Father's Day weekend!
