2006 Mollydooker Blue Eyed Boy Shiraz - Southern Australia - $53.95 NET
- This premiere release just received 96 points from Robert Parker's The Wine Advocate.  "Purple-colored, it has an intense aromatic display of smoke, violets, mulberry, blueberry, and chocolate.
This leads to a full-bodied, plush, wine with layers of ripe, spicy black fruits, excellent focus and delineation. The tannins are well-concealed but this wine has enough
stuffing to evolve for 6-8 years. Drink it through 2025."

2006 Mollydooker - "Two Left Feet" (68% Shiraz, 17% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Sauvignon), Southern Australia - $23.95 NET
- Great drinking value for gustatory delight!  Just received 93 points from Robert Parker's The Wine Advocate.  "Two Left Feet" is a glass-coating opaque purple color. The brooding nose reveals plummy
dark fruits, blueberry, licorice, and a hint of chocolate. On the palate it is thick, layered, and voluptuous. The structure is well-concealed and the wine is seamless and very long. It will reward
a few years of cellaring but delaying gratification will be difficult. It is a great value."

2004 Clarendon Hills Old Vine Grenache, Romas - McLaren Vale, Southern Australia - $109.95 NET
If you are still waiting for the thrill of Grenache...then this is guaranteed!

"The estate's flagship Grenache, it is fashioned from 86-year-old vines planted on ironstone soils at the highest elevation of the Blewitt Springs Vineyard. The 2004 Grenache Romas exhibits gorgeous notes of loamy soil, truffles, kirsch, spice box, blackberries, and licorice. This full-bodied, powerful, tannic 2004 will benefit from another 1-3 years of bottle age, and should age easily for 10-15+ years."  - 94 points - Robert Parker.

"Dense and peppery, but not heavy, with an expressive range of blackberry, cherry and pomegranate flavors that sail through the long, open-textured finish. A lovely spicy, peppery component lifts this Grenache's personality out of the ordinary. Best from 2008 through 2020." - 95 points - Wine Spectator

2003 Zuccardi Zeta - Maipu, Mendoza, Argentina - $45.95 NET
- Restocked!  Even though we sold over sixty cases earlier in the year.  You wanted more and I found it!  Major cult following in Argentina for this modern blend of 60% Malbec with 40% Tempranillo)

2005 Colome Estate Malbec, Salta, Argentina - $29.95  ($26.36)
- Overall favorite served blind as a "ringer" at the "Cabernet Sauvignon Best Value" ($17.95 to $49.95) tasting last Saturday.  The 2004 was hugely popular earlier in the year.  Donald Hess project from
the highest vineyards in the world (up to 9900 feet!).  Small percentages of Cabernet Sauvignon and Tannat compose the balance of the blend.  Some fruit from original root stock planted in the 1850s by
French immigrants.

2006 Achaval-Ferrer Malbec, Mendoza, Argentina - $22.95  ($20.20)
"Ripe and forward, with blackberry and boysenberry fruit augmented by notes of violet, mineral and sweet toast...." - 91 points Wine Spectator

Old world expression of fruit!  You will know you are drinking Italian!  Gambero Rosso - Tre Bicchiere Award

2001 Fuligni Brunello di Montalcino Riserva, Tuscano, Italy - $159.95 NET
I have six for myself.....there are 3 more bottles available.  "Wonderfully perfumed, with rose, blackberry and a hint of wet earth. Full-bodied, with layers of silky tannins and a
long, long finish. Structured. Hard not to drink now, but will be even better with a little more bottle age. Best after 2009. 1,000 cases made." 97 points  Wine Spectator

2005 Sette Ponti "Oreno" - Tuscano, Italy - $112.95/NOW $99.95 NET
This SuperTuscan blend of 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot and 20% Sangiovesee continues to amaze for its combination of power and finesse.  Coveted Gambero Rosso Tre Bicchiere Award.
Third straight vintage scoring 95 points by Wine Spectator, it is a perennial Top 100 placement. "Gorgeous aromas of blackberry, currant, raspberry and just a hint of toasty oak and coffee.
Full-bodied, with supervelvety tannins and wonderful balance. The finish goes on and on...."  Wine Spectator

2005 Numanthia - Toro, Spain - $64.95 NET
- Now legendary along with its big brother Termanthia.  Old vine Tempranillo clone.  Modern style.  Last vintage scored 98 from Robert Parker and 95 from the Wine Spectator.  2005 vintage is considered
even better than the very strong 2004.

2004 Senorio de San Vicente, San Vicente,  Rioja, Spain - $59.95 NET
- A single vineyard cuvee, is 100% Tempranillo Peludo, a clone notable for producing tiny berries. The wine was aged for 20 months in 100% new French and American oak and bottled unfiltered.
Great concentration and length.  Spice, cedar and graphite nuances.  Only 12 bottles available.

2004 Mas Romani La Creu Alta - Vilella Alta, Priorato, Spain  (60% old-vine Carinena and 40% Grenache) - $112.95 NET
- Just received one extra case as this wine has only been offered to previous Priorat fans.  Extremely rare and one of the finest expressions of old vine Carignan from the village of Vilella Alta.
".... is 60% old-vine Carinena and 40% Grenache from vineyards over 100 years of age. Inky purple, the wine has an ethereal nose of spice box, scorched earth, truffle,
graphite, kirsch, and wild blueberries. Already complex on the palate, the wine is plush and silky with impeccable balance and an exceptionally long finish.
Drink this hedonistic effort over the next 10-12 years."  97 points from Robert Parker's The Wine Advocate

2004 Domaine L' Hortus Grand Cuvee Rouge (40% Mourvedre, 40% Syrah, 20% Grenache), Pic St-Loup, Languedoc, France - $25.95  ($22.84)
One of our very favorite wines from our latest trip to southern France - "....showcases Jean Orliac's beloved Mourvedre grape (with 40% Syrah and 10% Grenache in support).
A nose of cherry, plum, resin, and spices leads to a dense, tightly-grained, salt-, smoke- and stone-tinged palate full of bright, juicy, sappy, and intensely, tartly ripe black fruits.
The firm structure and sharply-delineated fruit of this wine are almost as one, and its long finish full of intrigue and promise." - 92 points, from Robert Parker's The Wine Advocate .
