A couple of announcements from The Wine

- I know you have all been waiting breathlessly for
my "Wine-of-the-Year"! Please
note a twinge of sarcasm. For the last five
years, every December I have proclaimed a
special wine with this laudatory proclamation. Well, there
were plenty of very good values to consider; the 2003 Familia Cassone
Malbec Reserva Obra Prima from Mendoza, Argentina last February, and the
2005 Twenty Rows Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa Valley (aka Brown Bag

still available at $19.95 (case price is $17.56) to name a
few. However, as 2007 winds down, nothing seems to quite
warrant this lofty designation: wines are either too expensive, or
not enough inventory is available to meet your demand. So I hope you are
not too disappointed. I still have lots of
wonderful wines for every purpose.
