OH what a VALUE! The Silveira family comes from a long history in Portugal. They are descendants of the first Baron of Portugal, a title bestowed upon them by King Alfonso V during the 15th. century. Wine has always been an important part of their way of living. Twenty years ago, the family decided upon the village of Redondo, nestled next to the Serra d’Ossa mountain, to begin their legacy of winemaking.
This beautiful drinking “everyday red” is composed of equal parts Touriga Nacional, Trincadeira, Castelao, Aragones (Tempranillo) from the estate vineyards planted in the 1990s. All four grapes are vinified separately in stainless steel tanks and blended at the end of fermentation, then aged in stainless steel tank for 6 months.
