Masso is the name of the cru from which the grapes are sourced at 2300 feet above sea level. The name has its origins in the rocky-sandy, iron rich stone found here. This strong mineral structure is expressed in the wine’s sapidity and freshness. 100% Catarratto from 55 year old bush vines. Fermented in cement tank and left on skins for a quarter of the process. Sur lie with batonnage for six month while aged in the cement for six months.
Intense aromas of citrus with bay leaf and mint. Mineral overtones. Fresh, vibrant acidity enhances the fruit. Full of energy and zest.
