This unique and very different (but oh so good!) wine is centered on the mutation of Rondinello from a red to white grape. Rondinello is one of the three grape varieties traditionally rack dried to produce Amarone in the Valpolicella. The blend is just as unusual as the mutation; 60% Rondinello White, 15% Kerner, 13% Gold Traminer, 10% Cross Manzoni. All stainless steel tank cold fermentation and lees aging. Very fresh and vibrant, with a slight underlying floral, herb, mint, alpine aroma and nuanced flavors of apple and nectarine. Great acidity. Wonderful to drink now, but would want to stash a few bottles away to see what the hell happens.
