The 2022 Barbera d’Alba Vignota is a lovely expression with elegant fruit, dried blueberry, blackcurrant and a dusty mineral note that frames it all with neat and delineated lines. It displays medium fruit weight and a high 15% alcohol content that is absorbed by the wine’s thick texture. That said, this is by no means a heavy wine. This rich Barbera is saturated with black cherry, blackberry and plum fruit, showing the slightest hint of toasty oak as it extends on the finish. Well-integrated and long. Drink now through 2028. 2,500 cases made, 500 cases imported. – 91 points, Wine Spectator
