Description

Very pretty pale golden yellow in color with light greenish glints. Bright, luminous and limpid. The nose is reminiscent of the scented freshness of a lovely summer’s morning. The taste is perfect harmony of maturity, mellowness and vivacity.

The term Petit Chablis actually refers to the wines made from Chardonnay grown in vineyards right outside of the borders of the Grands Crus and Premiers Crus, but still within the Chablis wine-growing district. In the Petit Chablis areas, Portlandian soil dominates, a clay limestone soil similar to the prized Kimmeridgian (where the Grands and Premiers Crus Chablis vineyards lie), but geologically younger.  Like this Petit Chablis, most are always made without the use of oak.

The Seguinot family’s roots in Maligny, the front door to Chablis, can be traced as far back as 1590 when they began to write their history. Resting on the sloping right bank of the serein river, 16 hectares lie on a perfect south / south-east exposition.
