Description
“Buonora” is Tascante’s white wine from Mount Etna made from 100% Carricante. The grapes, known for ripening late and gaining serious complexity with age, come from communes of Sant Alfio on the eastern side of Mount Etna and Castiglione di Sicili on the north side. The vineyards were planted in 2003, both situated in a cool climate along the volcano slopes. The soils are made up of shallow volcanic, with a heavy amount of stones throughout. After harvest, the grapes are pressed and fermented in stainless steel before undergoing bâtonnage for three months before bottling.
