Description

Grown on the lower terrace at Te Muna Road, this wine shows a unique level of texture and complexity. The cooler climate of Martinborough ensures the wine is aromatic with steely minerality while the rocky soils gives intensity of the fruit.

Very pale straw. A fresh and exuberant release from 2024 that talks to the ripe vintage. Typical aromas of passionfruit pulp interwoven with kaffir lime leaf. The refreshing palate has a viscose texture and lifted citrus flavors.   The finish is almost saline and leaves the drinker reaching for the second glass.

Picked at 21.1 brix.  90% destemmed and fermented with a combination of indigenous and inoculated yeast in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks, French oak barrique (3% new) and foudre where it is aged for 3 months.
