Description
In 2012 Evening Land’s general manager and Master Sommelier “guru” Larry Stone was the successful bidder of the highly prized 150 acre Janzen Farm, an extremely coveted and exceptional vineyard site across the road from Evening Land’s Seven Springs Vineyard in the heart of the Eola-Amity Hills of Willamette Valley. Three years later after the vineyard was established with low-impact, organic and biodynamic farming principles, Lingua Franca was co-founded by Larry and Dominique Lafon of white Burgundy fame. They soon hired Thomas Savre, a brilliant young winemaker with work experience at some of the best estates in Burgundy (including Domaine de la Romanee Conti and Dujac).

“Sleek and silky yet keenly structured, with a simmering backbone of mineral-tinged acidity framed by raspberry, cherry, forest floor and savory tea accents that build toward the dynamic finish. Drink now through 2034. 899 cases made.” 95 points, Wine Spectator (February 28, 2025).
