Recently we certainly enjoyed the Murgo Brut Metodo Classico ’23 at Dalida’s in San Francisco’s Presidio. Fantastico with the scallop and pear crudo, and a second course of skewered sunchokes. Would be equally good with fresh shucked oysters topped with salmon roe or caviar!
Murgo Brut Metodo Classico 2023 is a premium Sicilian sparkling wine produced from 100% Nerello Mascalese grapes grown on the volcanic slopes of Mount Etna. This clear, pale straw-yellow, traditional method sparkler features delicate notes of white flowers, apple, ginger and bread crust. It is characterized by high acidity, fine, persistent, tiny bubbles, and a dry, mineral-driven palate. Two years on the lees before disgorgement.
