Whoa!  This amazing Tempranillo really hits on all cylinders…..and its drinkability continues to improve and “bloom” for 2-3 days after opening!   Awarded the prestigious Platinum Medal at the Decanter World Wine Awards (97 points!), this is a concentrated, modern styled Rioja sourced from a special designated old vine parcel known for maintaining it acidity balance.  90% Tempranillo with 10% Garnacha.  Elegant, but with high octane energy and brightness, the red and black fruits cast redolent spicy-floral and balsamic aromas, but its pliable tannin and very lengthy finish are equally compelling.  24 months in 225-liter oak barrels (50% French, 50% American) before continued refining in the bottle.  14.0% alcohol.   Can’t wait to try with Renee’s smoked rack of herb crusted lamb.
