Description
One needs to travel to the island of Lanzarote to truly appreciate and understand the traditional viticulture practices here that have learned to adapt to the severe “volcanic ashe” terroir.

- A Malvasía-Volcánica-dominant blend with smaller parts of Diego and Listán Blanco
- Sourced from 100+ year-old vines planted entirely in hoyos on the north slopes of the Juan Bello volcano at 350 meters

- Certified Organic (ICCIA)
“Juan Bello is a paraje in the village of Masdache on a volcanic mountain with traditional holes planted with centenary vines of Malvasía Volcánica with Listán Blanco and Diego grapes. The 2023 Juan Bello has 13.7% alcohol, a pH of 3.45 and 5.06 acidity, and some barrels went through malolactic fermentation, giving it a more mellow profile. All the wines have very integrated oak, making it unnoticeable, and they have improved the quality of their barrels, some Austrian and Italian 500-liter ones that have been used with their wines before, and that’s noticeable. The wine is very pale, elegant, sleek and polished, clean, precise and with a saltier finish than other years. 1,950 bottles were filled in May 2024.” – 95+ points, Wine Advocate (Luis Guttierez)
