Description
Sourced regionally from about 90 different plots ranging in age from 11-50 years of age, Camins is a juicy, fresh, fruit forward, accessible red that simply over delivers, especially from the cooler 2024 vintage. Composed of 40% Garnacha, 20% Cariñena (Carignan), 20% Syrah, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Merlot, and 5% local white grapes, the compelling aromas are rich and full of dark cherry and plum, wild Mediterranean “garrigue” and the local “llicorella” mineral scent from the slate vineyards. Ready to age nicely for another 5-7+ years, Camins is ideal for hearty red meat dishes or a charcuterie board. Oh! And here is an excellent Wine Spectator review and rating at 93 points! “Warm mulberry, plum and lingonberry fruit flavors are fragrant with cinnamon and dried lavender and sage, plus sweet paprika, graphite, mineral and cocoa powder accents. The expressive profile is aligned with fine, chalky tannins and bright, palate-cleansing acidity. Stylish and appealing, with good length through the finish.” – 93 points, Wine Spectator (Oct 31, 2026)
