Description

Salvo Foti is an iconic and legendary producer of Mount Etna wines establishing his reputation as a consultant and winemaker over the last 25 years.

The Vinupetra bottling is from the first vineyard Salvo Foti purchased when he began the I vigneri Project in the early 2000s.  The parcel which roughly translates to “A land full of stones” is planted mostly with Nerello Mascalese and Nerello Cappuccio and is located in the “Porcaria” contrada in the heart of the Etna DOC zone on the northern side of Mount Etna.  The wine is concentrated, sappy and spicy with a  buoyant juicy quality unique to the Foti lineup.
