Description

Salvo Foti is an iconic and legendary producer of Mount Etna wines establishing his reputation as a consultant and winemaker over the last 25 years.

Also from the northside slopes of Mount Etna is the “illegal wine” labeled I Vigneri Rosso, is a mix of newer plantings and older Nerello Mascalese and Nerello Cappuccio that is fermented in the traditional Palmento at the winery in Milo.  It is not legal to label the wine as Etna DOC if these traditional methods are used, but they honor the tradition of the region with this wine each vintage.
